Our 123 hood pad kit includes a quality thick foam pad with sound deadening perforations, the only glue that will really keep it in place, gloves, brush and complete detailed instructions with many important tips to help you do the job right the first time.

I have installed over 200 hood pads on Mercedes Benz from 1969 to 1993. There are more than a few things I have learned along the way that I would like to share with you. In my opinion there is no other job that costs so little and yields such great results for the effort. Not only does it improve the cosmetics of your car, the proper pad can help reduce the engine noise reaching the passenger compartment, particularly at high speed.

There is only one type of hood pad we recommend for the 123 chassis coupes, sedans and wagons from 1977 to 1984. I prefer the thicker foam pad with waffle pattern for its better long term adhesion and exceptional sound deadening qualities. There is another type of pad available that has an aluminum heat pad. I only recommend this pad for 1985 models with trap oxidizer. The instructions included will save you much time and frustration! Note: Can not be combined to ship with other items. In most cases it will have to be shipped by itself for proper protection.
