WVO conversion problems

I am having some problems with my vegetable oil fuel conversion. I know that it is not one of your conversions, but I was hoping you could help me. The company I bought it from did not even return my phone call. Here are the issues: My system has an internal heat exchanger (transmission oil cooler type) put into the WVO tank. I had to cut a hole in the tank to install the heat exchanger. I keep having problems with fuel leaks around the flange of the heat exchanger. I have tried a couple different types of sealant. Vegetable still wants to seep out when it gets hot. Please help! Also when I take a long trip in my car it gets so hot in the trunk I can hardly put anything back there. I have also noticed moisture and scum forming inside the fuel tank and I am worried about this. I am having problems with hard crusting stuff forming on the tips of my fuel injectors. What do you clean them with? It is really tough stuff. When it builds up on the tips it really affects my fuel economy and gets harder to start. What can I do about this? Since you know Mercedes I thought I would ask for your advice. I really appreciate any help you can give me.

Some ideas?

Kent might be able to answer the leaking problem better than I can, but your problem with the injectors could be a few things: 1) Bad WVO -- Have you done any water or filter tests? Does it get really dark even in a cup? If its really dark and murky, I've noticed the 5 micron filters can't get all the junk out. 2) Not heated enough -- If you don't have electric boost heat, your veggie is probably not hot enough when it gets to the injector. Many other companies claim that heated WVO tanks and lines does the trick, but in my tests with my heater off, the veggie is not getting hot enough. 3) Heated tank might be causing more harm than good to your WVO. If its cold where you live, you might be heating and cooling your WVO constantly. This temp change up and down can ruin the oil and cause problems. I'd recommend ripping out the Tank heater, get a sump heater on the outlet of the WVO tank, and electric boost heat up next to the injector.

Primer pump by pass

My Bosch manual primer pump keeps going out. Kent suggested I could by pass it and install a marine bulb type manual pump. My question is: How do I do that? I have a 1976 MB 240D that runs on veggie, the Elsbett system. Thanks, Keith
