Item: TUL-COMDLP
$26.50
Dash Light Install Tools (INSTRUMENT REMOVAL)

FITS THE FOLLOWING: All Mercedes 1973 to 1995 including 107, 114, 115, 116, 123, 126, 201, and 124 chassis. These are the factory Mercedes OE tools. Removing a Mercedes instrument cluster is easy with these special "pull" tools. Many owners do not realize that the instrument cluster is just pushed into the dash panel and not held in with any bolts or screws. To remove you need to pull it out. But trying to get hold of it to do that is another matter and without the right tools you can break the clear plastic instrument cover. These tools are inserted on either side of the cluster. Then you rotate the tool, "hook" the sides and pull it out. On some models you will need to disconnect the speedometer cable to get it far enough out to work on it. Please see my manual on Instrument Cluster Removal if you have not done this job before.

WARNING: 107 SL Owners:  In most cases you will need to remove the steering wheel to get the instrument cluster out. This manual DOES NOT cover the removal of the steering wheel or the disconnect of the air bag on 1986 to 1989 models. You will need to refer to the factory manual for that information.
