Customers often ask us what does Kent drive? We thought we would give you a chance to view up close and personal both his daily wheels of choice and a few of his many collector cars. All of his diesels have been converted to run on straight vegetable oil. I think he just prefers the quiet sound of the engine and the pleasant smell of the exhaust! His gas cars get driven too. The classics get pulled out on sunny days and put through their paces.
This first one is his favorite diesel. You are looking at a pristine 1979 300SD turbo diesel that he recently acquired from the original owner. This sedan is so cherry the original spare tire has not been out of the trunk. Kent prefers the 116 chassis over the 123 or 126. He feels the ride and handling are smoother and quieter and that their transmissions better shifting and much more predictable. If you had the privelege of riding in this sweetheart you would have to agree. CLICK HERE to read more.......
1979 300SD with Ultimate DTC 4000 Installed
This second Mercedes is a 1993 300D 2.5 turbo diesel. This is the last year this model was built and probably the last diesel you can really work on yourself with confidence. It is quick handling, comfortable, fast and gets 37 mpg. Both the engines and transmissions have proven to be quite robust. Kent purchased this example with 125,000 miles on it primarily for his wife, Linda, to drive. Because Linda really didn't want to flip dash switches and fill up two fuel tanks, Kent designed a high performance single tank vegetable oil fuel conversion for this specific 124 chassis diesel. The third diesel in his fleet is a beautiful 1982 300SD sedan. This Mercedes is the result of a long search and much work. He was not fortunate enough to find a mint 126 from an original owner so he had to build it! Don't you just love these big beautiful sedans. Imagine paying $42,000 of this back in 1983. Compare that to what it cost to by a K car!~ This example has the cleanest 617 turbo diesel engine you will ever see. CLICK HERE to read more ......

This fourth Mercedes is a 1992 300CE coupe. Considered by many to be one of the last great coupes built my Mercedes BEFORE the age of computer control mania. Considering this car cost over $70,000 new, it is a great value and an exceptional ride for the money it would cost to get one today. Kent's example is signal red with Palomino leather interior. This coupe is so compfortable and effortless to drive he often complains about trying to stay awake on long trips. This is his favorite long trip road machine. You have to be careful though. It is real easy to get going 100 mph and you know how cops feel about Red! CLICK HERE to see more ......
