Our STC 100 can be upgraded to a dual tank conversion (DTC) without having to modify your existing Mercedessource STC conversion or redoing any of your work. Due to costs we no longer offer DTC kits but we will continue to offer the manual set as well as some individual components and hardware elsewhere on this website.
Converting to dual tank operations is a matter of adding a second fuel tank, a rear mount SVO tank sump heater, a heated fuel path to the engine, and the valve switching needed to select between tanks. There are so many variables to consider when upgrading to a DTC that some enginuity and engineering will be required on your part. I have written this complete set of manuals that can help you put together the components and do it yourself. Keep in mind the instructions may not be specific to every Mercedes diesel model but the principles and guidelines will apply.
Some customers want more than a single tank conversion. It may be because they live in the cold north or they just want the redundancy and flexibility of two tanks. Others are not sure what they really want or need. When planning to install a cold weather full-featured Dual Tank Conversion (DTC) there are lots of things to consider and lots of conversion work that must be done. To help our customers upgrade our STC kits to dual tank operations these manuals to walk you through the options, components needed, and instructions for doing it yourself. This set of manuals is ONLY available to customers who have purchased one of our STC conversion kits. Here is a list of what is included:
This set of books will allow you to custom build your own DTC if you have above average mechanical skills. No other components or hardware are included with this manuals set. Due to the value of information included there are not returns allowed on this manuals set.
