'84 300SD driver's seat

I'm wondering if there's anyone out there that has had a seat motor go bad? I have replaced the seat switch on my driver's side to no avail and am wondering where to go next. I can hear the switch make a noise when I move it so I am assuming that is in working order. I have both of Kent's manuals (Chassis Door Maintenance and Repair & Front Seat Repair and Restoration) and neither speak directly to my situation. However, they do a wonderful job in describing how to remove the front seat, which I'm slightly afraid that's where I'm going to have to go to next! Also, I haven't checked yet, but is there a fuse for these... could it possibly be that simple???
