Speedo Drive Unit

I need a manual speedo drive for my transmission, I currently have the electronic version. First, can these be swapped, and second, does anyone know where I could get one. It's an 83 300d.

This can be done but you will need to replace the rear case and the internal gears. Not too difficult and I have done it with the transmission in the car. I could remove the parts from a correct transmission but unfortunately they won't be real cheap. If you are interested in a price quote email sales@mercedesssource.com.
