Recommended Fuel Additives for SVO?

I have been adding Longer Diesel Life (LDL)since I already had some left when running D2. I mainly use it for its fugus growth inhibitors and moisture dispersment. They also claim it raises the cetane number. The added Lubricity agent which was very important with low sulfur D2 is a mute issue when running SVO.

Is there a concern if some moisture is present with the WVO and if so, how can it be removed before adding the oil to my tank?

I don't know how you filter your WVO before you put it in the tank, but I use a progression of filters - 20 microns, 10 microns, and 5 microns. The final filter is a Goldenrod diesel filter that has a moisture removing feature. I can't say that it works perfectly, but its bound to help.

Everybody has a set up that works best for them. Find what yours is and go for it!
