vacuum gauge

Submitted by jaysterl on 18 August 2008 - 4:39pm.

I have recently noticed a vacuum when I remove the fuel filler cap on my single tank conversion. I am not experiencing any loss of power, fuel starvation or any lack of performace. I suspect the Stanadyne filter may be plugging up and time for a filter change. I was also thinking of adding a vacuum gauge to monitor the condition of the filter. Will installing the gauge in the spare 1/4" fuel outlet on the filter head be a good location?

There's a vent on the tank. They get clogged every so often.I just release pressure every 100 miles or so.Mine did it with wvo, until the diesel slime was ate up.
