lpg convertions
Has anyone played with lpg or natural gas conversions on the fuel injected engines? these gas cars could use a little help in the mpg dept.
Being naturally fuel injected should make the conversion simpler. But the danger of blowing up a perfectly good engine has its drawbacks.
Back in the 80's it was a fairly common conversion, but I haven't heard much about it lately.
Now you hear PikensPlanCNG.
Sounds promising, but is it practical?

Well that is good news. Thank you for shipping the items via USPS. I have to say having an old Diesel Mercedes requires constant care. But I never thought I would enjoy learning all this repair stuff. I was never much of a mechanic but the W123 are mostly so easy to work on that it is in fact fun. CNG and LPG conversions
Best (and safest) bet right now is to research what Ford and GM have already produced...there are LPG cars on the road. At this time, I would guess that it would be great reading if you do not purhcase a production vehicle.
