Mercedes 114 115 123 Chassis Can Style Rear Axle Drive Shaft

We know that many of you have been looking for an affordable solution to replacing your old worn high mileage rear axles. We all know they can not last forever! In the past we refused to sell rebuilt axles due to inconsistent quality. We are happy to now be able to offer you an affordable alternative to a problem that many 123 owners are going to have to deal with someday.

Brand new (not rebuilt) aftermarket rear axle drive shaft as shown. No Core charge. This axle shaft will fit either right or left side on all 114 115 and 123 chassis sedans, coupes and wagons from 1968 to the early 1980s that use the CAN STYLE rear axles. Make certain you are ordering the correct axle.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  Due to size and weight each axle is shipped  separately to avoid damage.

Axle on right is the crimped can type. NOTE: For this new axle to work on your car you must have axles that look like the can type shown on right side of photo below.

If you are planning to change one or both of your rear axles we recommend replacing the following when the axles out. This can save you a lot of time later. CLICK ON each of the titles below to link you to these additional parts.

• Replace the rear differential seals while the axles are out (2 required)
• Replace rear differential center rubber mount if over 15 years old
• Replace rear end stabilizer links if worn
• Replace rear shocks if worn
• Replace emergency brake shoes
• Replace flexible rubber brake hoses if over 15 years old
