Mercedes 116 123 126 124 Chassis Diesel Wedge Shaped Fuel Tank - SAVE $$

Custom designed and welded aluminum wedge-shape fuel tank by Kent Bergsma that fits in the forward section of the trunk on all 1978 to 1987 300SD and 300SDL and all 1977 to 1985 240D 300D and 300CD. These have proven to be just too costly to make anymore. Also will just fit into 124 chassis 300D sedan 1987 and 1990 to 1993. This custom design will allow the maximum fuel while still allowing storage space in the trunk. It will even allow you to easy install and remove the factory spare tire! This will allow you to carry extra diesel or bio diesel for long trips or it can be you second tank for vegetable fuel oil operations.

• Measures 37 inches long, 15 inches high, 13 inches wide at the top and 5 inches wide at the bottom
• 3/8 inch NPT threaded outlet at bottom right
• 3/8 inch NPt threaded outlet for vent at upper left
• Nipples for clear hose sight level gauge mounted on right side
• Tabs welded to top of tank for securing to upper deck sheet metal
• Quality snap lock fuel cap

Due to the various different ways this tank can be installed and used, specific fuel system  installation instructions are NOT included. Only general tips on mounting the tank and suggestions for plumbing are included. You will need our own fittings, hose, clamps and mounting hardware.  This is a limited production item and we only one available for sale.

Clear tube sight gauge will allow you to inspect fuel level visually.
