Early 200D 220D 240D 4 Cylinder Diesel Monark Fast Glow plug Conversion Kit

If you own an early 4 cylinder diesel then this is a must have diesel engine kit! This glow plug upgrade will do three things that will put a smile on your face: 1. Your engine will start faster and cold idle smoother. 2. Your glow plugs will last longer. 3. If you should burn out one or two glow plugs your engine (if healthy) will still start! FITS THE FOLLOWING: 115 and 123 chassis. All Mercedes 4 cylinder non-turbo 220D and 240D Diesel engines from 1968 to 1979.

If you have ever been stranded with bad glow plugs before you know the frustration. This kit will allow you to throw away your old series style glow plugs and replace them with the more efficient pencil style parallel glow plugs used in the newer diesels. You will also receive an installation manual that contains step-by-step instructions with photos to help you to do the conversion yourself.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR 110 200D and 115 220D 240D OWNERS: The included instruction book is written specifically for the 123 240 D and the pictures are from the same chassis. The general principles of installation are the same for the 110 and 115 chassis. The major difference would be the pictures and reference made concerning the fuse on the firewall. This information will NOT apply for you. These models also use a pull starter and the references in the instruction manual refer to turning the key to the glow position. In your case you will still need to use the pull starter to heat the glow plugs, but you will no longer need to wait as long!

No specialty tools are required. Once completed you will immediately notice improvement in your start times. Could starts can be done with only 8 to 12 seconds of glow time and hot starts with 2 to 3 seconds. You will love this upgrade!
