1986 300SDL tranny not shifting ??
the car has sat for 3 months. when I took it for a ride today the tranny wouldnt shift out of 1st gear. It has always shifted fine untill now. the fluid was low so I topped it off with no change. were do I start ?

Two things to check
It could be a stuck kickdown switch or a possible sticking valve body. See my video on transmission shift problems. I have seen this problem before when a transmission sits idle for long periods.
