If your diesel engine runs rough at idle, smokes a lot and / or gets poor fuel economy you may need to replace your fuel injectors. My Diesel Performance manual covers how you can inspect them for worn tips. This is an easy do it yourself job and often one of the best performance improvements you can make on a high mileage diesel.

This set of five rebuilt injectors fits 116, 123 and 126 chassis 5 cylinder turbo diesel engines from 1978 to 1985. This includes 300SD and turbo 300D, 300CD and 300TD. IMPORTANT: If you are going to replace the injectors yourself you should also plan to replace the flexible fuel return hoses that are connected to your injectors. Using the old fuel line can almost guarantee you will have leaks. We offer this hose in both braided rubber hose and in viton (if you are running or plan to run biodiesel).
