This is one cool pre or final protection fuel filter. I have been looking for something like this for a long time. Not only is it all metal, just the right size, has a 60 micron large cleanable screen, but it can be taken apart by hand... and that is certainly a big plus when you are out on the road faced with a plugged-up filter!

We have looked far and wide for the right size WVO HD pump pickup filter and have finally found it. Our criteria was it had to be all metal, had to be not too small or too big, had to take fitting for 3/4 inch hose, had to have a bottom surface to mount a stand pipe, and had to be easily cleanable. This even got worse in recents years as many SVO WVO kit makers would send our their components with barbed hose fittings! Just try to remove a rubber fuel hose from a barbed fitting after is has been clamped down, or not even clamped down. Try to remove it after a few months when the hose has been heated and it is even worse!. You end up having to cut the hose off and if you are not careful you can nick the barb and the new hose will leak.

If your injector tips are worn out here are my recommended replacements. These injector tips are made by Monark in Germany and they are designed with a finer mist pattern than that produced by the Bosch tips. My experience has shown that these tips work better (fuel burn) especially on higher mileage diesels with less than perfect compression numbers. On my own diesels I have also noticed less injector nailing (pinging noise) with these tips installed.

FITS all 116 123 and 126 chassis from 1977 to 1985. Finally a socket to remove your fuel tank screen that really works. Most correct size sockets tend to be SO BIG that they require 3/4 inch drive ratchets and extensions to use them. Who has those in their tool box?? Even if you did, when trying to get up above the rear axle with a big clunky 3/4 ratchet to remove the screen can be an exercise in total frustration and failure.

This guide is written specifically for owners of 123 and 126 diesels up to 1985. There are some sections that apply to the 115 and 116 chassis but it is not specific to those models. This manual covers understanding how the vacuum system works, common symptoms of trouble, possible causes, and testing and repairing the problems. Deals mostly with issues from the firewall forward like testing the vacuum pump, repairing shutoff problems, finding leaks, etc.

This kit will add quick electric heat to the fuel sump heater included in our DTC ugrade kits. Our standard sump heater kit comes with a 1/2 plug in the bottom which can be easily removed and allow the brass fitting and glow plug to be installed in its place. The thermostat is installed on the side of the metal sump chamber to control temperature between 90 to 150 degrees F. Only comes with items shown in picture. Does not come with all wiring or relays required to complete installation. If you have purchase one of our DTC upgrades most of those items are already included for you.

We have received many emails as to why we don't offer a dual tank SVO conversion kit for a 123 300TD wagon. Installing an efficient and practical dual tank conversion in a wagon is challenging to say the least. The first big issue is the design and location of the factory fuel tank. It is located below the rear floor and is fairly narrow in height. To install a heated sump at the level of the tank outlet requires some very special component mounting brackets. The second issue is where to install the second tank. Putting a tank in the back of the wagon reduces hauling space and creates fuel smell and spill problems. Yes, even veggie can smell bad over time.

These are my favorite German hose clamps. They tighten securely, don't cut into the hose, and don't rust or break. If you are working on the fuel system of any Mercedes I recommend you have these clamps on had. Just get ride of those old rusty phillips head screw clamps or worse yet - the US style clamps with holes that cut into the rubber. These clamps will work on all 8 mm hose, 5/16 and 3/8 US spec fuel or coolant hose.
