DEFINITION: Our DTC 100 (Dual Tank Conversion) upgrade for TWX (temperate weather climate) is your best solution if you only operate in temperatures where it seldom gets below freezing and you want an easy to install and less expensive system. I call this a SHORT Upgrade kit because we do NOT include everything you need to convert to dual tanks and it is only an UPGRADE to our STC conversions 100, 1000 and 2000). IT IS NOT a complete kit by itself and it does not include everything you will need to upgrade. There are only a few items you will have to obtain on your own. We deliberately leave out the fuel source switching valve, the second fuel tank, and dash mount switches because we have found most users want to customize their installation anyway.

You asked for it and we delivered. Our 1000 series WVO conversions are custom fabricated and fully pre- assembled. That means this unit is ready to bolt in the engine compartment of a 116, 123 and early 126 diesel right out of the box. That includes the 1977 to 1985 240D, 300D and 300CD, as well as the 300TD wagon from 1979 to 1984. It will not bolt into some late 84 and 85 models with the hydraulic suspension tank mounted behind the drivers side headlight. Also includes the 1978 to 1984 300SD only. Other years and models are NOT available pre-built.

It takes our basic DTC 100 short kit and upgrades it will a coolant heated fuel path and coolant heated fuel sump. YOU MUST purchase this along with the DTC 100 to make it. This addition will give you the full features of what we call in our publications the DTC 200.

The STC 100 kit is the heart and soul of all our vegetable based fuel conversions. Its key VFM (Veg Fuel Manager) component is central to every kit we offer. You will need to read all the text that follows to fully understand what this kit will do, what it takes to install it, and how you can modify / upgrade it to operate it in cold weather. This is not like anything your average SVO conversion company sells. It is easy to build and to install, but reading is a prime requirement for understanding how it can work for you in your climate.
