This seal and gasket kit will solve your problems with any external or internal (into the engine) leaks at the hydraulic pump (location at the front of the cylinder head). If your hydraulic fluid is disappearing from the tank and you can't see any leaks in your rear suspension - then it is possible the shaft seal of your pump is bad and fluid is leaking into your engine oil (and yes, this is not good!). This same pump is used on all Mercedes self-leveling suspension systems from the late 1970's up through 1991. Your pump will need to be removed from your engine in order to install new seals and gaskets. You should have correct fluid (Mercedes type) and a new fluid filter on hand before you begin. Complete R134a retrofit kit as shown to convert your A/C system.  Keep in mind this may not repair all problems with your current A/C system. This kit is designed to go into a good working system. One of the more challenging aspects of adjusting the release pressures on your diesel fuel injectors is finding the exact thickness shim washer you need to make the proper spring pressure adjustment. If you try to do it with just one shim per injector you end up needing a large assortment of all sizes of shims ranging from 0,80 mm to 1,95 mm. And knowing Murphy’s law all too well, you will end up needing the shim size that you do not have.

With diesel fuel approaching $5.00 per gallon you cant tell me you are not interested in this subject. I know you may have lots of questions. To begin you must decide if you really want to do this!

We have looked far and wide for the right size WVO HD pump pickup filter and have finally found it. Our criteria was it had to be all metal, had to be not too small or too big, had to take fitting for 3/4 inch hose, had to have a bottom surface to mount a stand pipe, and had to be easily cleanable. This set of detailed instructions and plastic insertion tools with help you remove and install the front and rear door seals in your older Mercedes sedan or wagon. This includes the chassis models above from 1968 to 1991 (does not apply to the 201 or 124 chassis 190 or 300 series).

Installing new door seals can be tricky if you have not done it before. Kent Bergsmas instructions give you a picture for each step to prevent mistakes and speed installation. Many who own these cars complain they don't even know where the glow plugs are and are worried they could never replace them on their own. A shop will charge you a lot of money to do this job. It is time consuming but not rocket science. You have to remove the intake manifold on this engine to get the plugs replaced. My step by step illustrated manual with take you completely through the correct process. Glow plugs even come with locking nuts. These glow plugs also fit 1989 190D 2.5 (only 1989!)

In all my years of working around engines the one thing that absolutely drives me crazy is barbed hose fittings. This even got worse in recents years as many SVO WVO kit makers would send our their components with barbed hose fittings! Just try to remove a rubber fuel hose from a barbed fitting after is has been clamped down, or not even clamped down. Try to remove it after a few months when the hose has been heated and it is even worse!. You end up having to cut the hose off and if you are not careful you can nick the barb and the new hose will leak.

Want to adjust the release pressure on your fuel injectors? Have you been looking forever to find a source for a convient small shim kit in the correct sizes - at an affordable price! Many have or have access to a pressure "pop" tester but finding the right shims is a different matter. I personally looked so long to find a good source that I finally gave up and am now importing these high quality shims directly from Germany. They are extremely accurate in thickness. The shim washers are 11.5 mm in diameter and will work on all Mercedes passenger car diesels from 1958 to 1993.
