This is the time of year to get with it. From our experience here are the top repair issues that most Mercedes owners have learned to "live with". These problems occur and get worse over time. Many may not even realize how annoying the problem was until it gets fixed - and then WOW! They are exclaiming - Why didn't I do that sooner!!

Follow along as I take you through the products and procedures I will use to repair the rust on my 6.9. I have been working on rusty old cars since I bought my first Model A Ford when I was 13 years old. I have tried every product imaginable. Very few live up to their claims to make it go away and not come back. Even welding in new metal is not a guarantee that the rust will not come back. You should see some of the dozens of examples where I have seen the weld seams rust from the inside out because they were not properly coated and protected from moisture on the blind side! And NOTHING rusts faster than an oxidized weld seem. I have come to believe that unless you are restoring a valuable collector car, one should stay away from sheet metal weld replacement.
New in 2010! After years of receiving email and forum requests for tech help, the problems most customers have and the questions they ask start to follow a very predictable pattern. So to better help you find out what is wrong with your Mercedes and what parts you need to fix it we are launching a new WHATS WRONG section on our website. Each category will list the common problems, what steps need to be taken to fix them and links to the parts and instructions needed to tackle the repairs. Where applicable you will be directed to one of Kents kits or manuals for help in diagnosing your problem. We know that isolating the problem can be more frustrating than fixing it!!!
NEWS FLASH! We are currently shipping our manuals, parts and repairs kits to customers all over the world from our Headquarters here in the USA. If you reside in a foreign country, you are welcome to browse our online catalog and place items of interest in your shopping cart totaling $75.00 or more. This is absolutely the very best product you can use to cover the miracle rust repairs in your fender wells and under your car. I have tried them all and have found nothing better. This is not your normal cheap spray can undercoating that you purchase at the local auto parts store and that will wash off with gasoline. This spray can product is hard and permanent and dries to a nice pebble finish. It is impressive. 1 spray can is enough to cover one major rust repair area or to cover a complete underside front fender area.

This starter kit is for those who are having a hard time believing my claims. This stuff really works and I want to prove it to you. I have used every product imaginable over the past 45 years I have worked on old cars. (and would you believe I have owned close to 300 cars). I really was a miracle when i discovered this product in the mid 1990s. (Now I sound like a late night TV infomercial).
Applies to all Mercedes: Pre 1960, 190SL, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 108, 109, 107, 116, 123, 126, 201, and 124 chassis. I have been trying to find a lasting solution to rust problems on old cars ever since 1962. That was when I purchased a 1934 Ford Sedan and brought it home to fix up and drive. I was only 15 at the time, but I certainly did not find the rust holes very attractive in the lower front and rear quarter panels.
