Kent is often asked what are the most important SEALANTS AND ADESIVES to have around for your Benz. These are his top 5 picks. This kit includes the following 5 products:
Here is what Kent says about these wrenches: " I am very picky about the "feel" and "fit" of my combination wrenches. Some are just too smooth and slippery, while others just don't feel good in your hands. Then their are those who have real thick heads that make it hard to get on close quarter nuts and bolts (like Kobalt). A lot of the real cheap wrenches don't fit tight on the heads, thus causing rounding off of the heads (like a lot of them)!!
Nice set of heavy duty pick tools with rubberized handles. They have hardened steel tips which allow for more prying and twisting with less tendency to bend the tips.

I like tools. I especially like tools that work as advertised and make the job easier. I am constantly on the lookout for new tool releases and/or unique designs. From my own experience, I know that many new tools come from someone's frustration over a tool that just does not work quite right. That is how my diesel valve adjusting wrenches came into being!. Those German Hazett valve wrenches just did not "cut it." I can not believe I have sold over 10,000 pairs of my valve wrenches. So when I see a new tool that fills a need I always smile and wonder just who was behind the concept and what happened to bring it to market!
Kent could not live without zip ties. Almost anyone who has work on cars, boats, or airplanes will agree. Here is a 100 pak of the popular 8 inch size.
I am an avid fan of small self stick zip tie mounts. If they are good quality the backing adhesive will stick to almost anything. I use them inside my large model airplanes to secure wiring and other components inside the fuselage. I also use them quite often in the engine compartment or under the dash to secure loose wiring and hoses. But I never thought of using them on the rear carpet shelf!!!
Our ingenious customer Keith who resides in South Africa recently used one to solve a nagging problem on the rear shelf of his SLC. His bobble head little doggy just kept falling over during hard cornering! He decided to give the zip tie sticky a shot a solving this perplexing problem. Success at last! Now his little doggy stays upright under all driving conditions. Great job Keith!

Can be successfully applied to all Mercedes Alloy (non chrome) Silver Wheels from 1970 to 1995. 108, 109, 107, 114, 115, 116, 123, 201, 126 and 124 chassis. Most of us have to admit that stained and peeling paint on Mercedes alloy wheels is ugly on any model. Your eye tends to go right to the wheels. Even if the rest of the car is nice, bad looking wheels certainly can make your car look dated.
Everyone loves success stories. We can all learn from them and they just make us feel good... We have created this new home page link to share with you recent success stories from work we have done on our own cars as well as stories we have received from our customers. If you have a good success story send it to us along with a couple pictures and we will post if appropriate.
This kit includes 4 metal quality dome caps with rubber seals inside. EXTRA BONUS - one slotted cap included to allow you to tighten or remove the valves inside the stems. Add some class to your wheels and get rid of those old ugly valve stem caps.
Great for working in tight places - like removing speakers, voltage regulators, distributor caps, etc.
Here is a chance to deck out your Benz this Holiday Season! How awesome is this for some real Christmas decor! Kent found these and just had to have them to offer to our customers for the holiday season! Available in a few different colors but our remaining stock is limited so you will not be able to choose your specific color. We will only be able to ship what we have on hand. If you order more than one we will try to mix the colors if we can.
Do you ever find yourself in a situation where a zip tie would solve the problem? One time my exhaust donuts broke, ALL at once, in my driveway of all places - I came out to find my exhaust laying in the gravel. So in the house I went to find my stash of zip ties, crawled under the car, and back up the muffler went! There are also many other uses for these in emergency situations for quick repairs. Here we are offering an assorted pack of (10) zip ties at a low price. PLEASE NOTE: Color and length can vary by package.
Lets have a little fun. The other day I was working on a couple nagging mechanical problems and decided to make a couple of short videos on these particular maladies. They are common to many diesels and both the 123 wagons I was working on had the exact same problem. Then it struck me... Why not turn this into a contest to see who could come up with the right answer. If you know the answer to the first one, email tech@mercedessource.com with your correct answer to receive a $10 discount coupon. Sorry NO PHONE in answer and no indirect emails will be considered.
The second video on the engine noise is just to test your knowledge. No prize is offered. But, if you answer correctly, you will get a pat on the back from me.
Thanks for playing, Kent Bergsma

Many may not even realize how annoying the problem was until it gets fixed - and then WOW! They are exclaiming - Why didn't I do that sooner!!

Follow along as I take you through the products and procedures I will use to repair the rust on my 6.9. I have been working on rusty old cars since I bought my first Model A Ford when I was 13 years old. I have tried every product imaginable. Very few live up to their claims to make it go away and not come back. Even welding in new metal is not a guarantee that the rust will not come back. You should see some of the dozens of examples where I have seen the weld seams rust from the inside out because they were not properly coated and protected from moisture on the blind side! And NOTHING rusts faster than an oxidized weld seem. I have come to believe that unless you are restoring a valuable collector car, one should stay away from sheet metal weld replacement.
New in 2010! After years of receiving email and forum requests for tech help, the problems most customers have and the questions they ask start to follow a very predictable pattern. So to better help you find out what is wrong with your Mercedes and what parts you need to fix it we are launching a new WHATS WRONG section on our website. Each category will list the common problems, what steps need to be taken to fix them and links to the parts and instructions needed to tackle the repairs. Where applicable you will be directed to one of Kents kits or manuals for help in diagnosing your problem. We know that isolating the problem can be more frustrating than fixing it!!!
