Turn signal return

I held on to the turn signal arm after making a turn, now the arm will not click back in normal use.I tried pulling off the steering column cover but could not get it removed. What did I break, and what's the fix? 1984 201

You probably broken the return pin in the mechanism. Not practical to repair. You will need a new or used replacement turn signal stalk assembly. Email us if you want some pricing.

I'll do that Kent, and how do I get too the part.
I removed all the screws I could see but the bottom cover wouldn't come off.
