I`m looking for a 92 or 93 td, gets better milage and the last of d.i.y cars, I also like the more road feel is there any signiferant differance in these vehicles and anything to watch out for thanks for any replies, I have a 99 E300 that seems very few people can diagnose w/o putting in numerous parts which has cost a fortune and it`s time for her to go!

The 90 - 93 td are great cars! They tend to have some of the same issues as the 123, A/C, rear sub frame/wheel alignment, cruse control, watch out for an older vacuum pump, trany's need a rebuild arround 200+/-K, rust around the antenna mount + antenna issues in general, but as always with a car this old it's condition, condition, condition. It's nice if the PO has records that show early life dealer service + use of synthetic oil and good change intervals. My 91 has 330,000 miles and is going strong. danny
