There is water leaking into the drivers and passengers side of my 1982 240d. The water drips down from under the dash on both sides, but there is no rust hole or clogged drains. What else could be causing this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Where are the fresh air inlet ducts?
Two other things
Probably the front windshield seal or it could be rust hole down inside the fresh air inlet ducts.
I've been through this already
For the passenger side it is most likely some corrosion on the firewall below the battery box. These batteries apparently are likely to leak some sort of battery acid. I have dealt with it on my 79 240d. First Step take out battery and see if the battery tray is corroded, if so jackpot. Kent sells new battery trays I believe and you will also want to buy the rust paint kit that includes some fiberglass material to add to it. What I did on mine (a few years ago) is take out battery and tray, and grind at the engine side of the firewall just below. To my amazement I found quite a bit of corrosion. I grinded as best I could without breaking the insulation paint on the interior side of the firewall. I then painted the remaining corroded areas with some miracle paint and let it dry. Next I got some of that epoxy clay (stronger than Steel after mixed) and mixed it and jammed it all in there until I covered the hole that I had made by grinding. After letting it sit over night I came back the next day and put another layer of miracle paint on it and then put some of the fiberglass cloth onto the miracle paint (which will bond to the miracle paint and become really hard and strong after the miracle paint dries)I also put a few extra coats of miracle paint on it for good measure. Let it all dry, put in the new battery box and you are good to go. It only took me a couple of days to do it and that leak never came back.
As far as your driver side leak, I have heard that this is sometimes caused by corrosion in the chamber that your hood springs go into when closing the hood, clean that puppy out and see if there is corrosion. Also, what I personally experienced regarding the driver side water was due to the rear windshield seal. Also there is a design flaw in my 240 at least, there is a hole in the sheet metal on the left side of the rear windshield and alot of times some water gets in here and starts to cause corrosion which will get real bad real quick, so if you don't find anything in the engine spring chamber then I would recommend getting someone to remove your rear windshield and seal to see if there is any corrosion there.
