adjusting valves in 85 300sd

I have a 1985 300sd and have been told that this year has self adjusting valves, is this correct or do i ned to adjust them myself, thanks mitch

They will need adjusting

Your 85 300SD has mechanical rocker arms that will need to have the clearances checked/adjusted every 12,000 to 15,000 miles. This is something you can do yourself. The custom wrench set I build comes with complete detailed instructions. Always change the rubber valve cover gasket when adjusting the valves. Kent
