If you have read very many of my manuals and instructions you already know how much I detest Silicone Gasket Sealant. I know there are places for silicone (ie bath tub caulking, etc), but it should not be used on internal combustion engines!
Applies to all Mercedes, PON FIN Pre 1960, 190SL, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 108, 109, 107, 116, 123, 126, 201, and 124 chassis. Here is a kit you will love to have around the shop. If you don't like using those poor quality US hose clamps (the kind that cut into the hose) then here is a chance to have spare quality (no nick) hose clamps for those fuel and coolant related repairs. Kit comes with large size hose clamp. Hose clamp size is 32-50/9.
These thin shim washers can be added to an existing injector shim to meet the thickness required to increase release pressure. Buy using a thicker shim along with 1 to 3 thin shims you will be able to make a number of different thicknesses within the 0,20 mm range. This kit contains six each of thin 0,20 mm washers.
These thin shim washers can be added to an existing injector shim to meet the thickness required to increase release pressure. Buy using a thicker shim along with 1 to 3 thin shims you will be able to make a number of different thicknesses within the 0,10 mm range. This kit contains six each of super thin 0,10 mm washers
If you are adjusting your injectors and your pressure reading is low you may only have to add one or two of the thin washers to bring the pressure up to spec. If your pressure reading is too high you will need to go down in thickness by choosing a think shim you have available and adding 1 or 2 thin (or any multiple you like) ones to build the thickness required. We also supply thin washer sets in 0,05 and 0,20 mm sizes.

You are looking at the worlds first production diesel mechanical fuel injector bench tester available in the U.S. for under $200. Kent is building these in his own shop to control quality and production demands. Now available for immediate shipment. These new testers will allow you to economically test the spray pattern and fine tune (balance) your fuel injectors at home. With the injector fitting included it will work on all Mercedes diesels from the early 1960's up to 1993. It will also work on any mechanical Bosch type fuel injector with adjustable pressure release function - altough you may have to come up with your own adapter to attach the injector to the tester.
This is one cleverly designed tool. Could not have done it better myself. I actually use to make a couple different types before I found this one. If you have ever tried to remove a radiator hose corroded to an alumium housing you know what I am talking about and you will love this tool. Great when changing radiator hoses, especially the short hose. 8 inches in length.
It will get those stuck radiator hoses loose and off in seconds...
This removable thread locker is probably the best that I have used. It has the best sealing cap and cures rapidly and reliably when confined between metal parts. Use it to lock threaded fasteners, nuts, bolts and screws from loosening. Extremely important in critical engine and suspension parts. This is the removable type (meaning that it can be easily removed with hand tools). Comes in small .20 Fl oz. bottle great for most small jobs.
Excellent for all work around diesel engines to prevent vibration failure and breakdowns. If you need the red more permanent type CLICK HERE.
This permanent thread locker is probably the best that I have used. It has the best sealing cap and dries hard in 20 to 60 minutes. Use it to securely lock threaded fasteners, nuts, bolts and screws from loosening. Extremely important in critical engine and suspension parts. This is the permanent type (meaning that it is possible to remove only when applying heat to 450 degress F - with propane torch) or a very heavy breaker bar. I like to use this one on brake caliper bolts as it is such a critical bolt.
Excellent when retaining bearings and bearing races, freeze plugs, rocker arm and main bearing studs, etc. Can fill gaps up to .007 and assures positive controlled locking.
Fits chassis 116 123 126 and 201 Diesels with PENCIL glow plugs, from 1978 to 1989. This little strip fuse is located in the Glow Plug Relay and can sometimes be the cause of your glow plug problems. Even if it appears to be good, we recommend that you physically remove it and inspect it for cracks or breaks before you replace the Relay! Sold in a 2 pack.
If you work around your Mercedes much this is a great tool to have. The quality is exceptional for the price. It will reset to measure in both inches and millimeters. For a limited time I will even include a spare button battery at no extra cost.
If you are going to test and tune your diesel fuel injectors this is a must have tool! It is the best way to determine the current thickness of the pressure adjusting shim washer in each injector and to help choose the proper replacement. We are committed to helping you service and overhaul this critical maintenance component.
As I have said elsewhere on this site, fuel injectors may be the most neglected maintenance item on the older Mercedes diesel engines. Just because they are working does not mean they are working well. And now with the cost of diesel fuel creeping up to $5.00 per gallon this is even more important than ever! You can work on your injectors yourself. It is not difficult, but you are going to need the right tools. I have put together this quality but inexpensive tool set for those who want to tune-up or overhaul their injectors on their own. If you are running SVO in your diesel you MUST take care of your injectors or your diesel will not take care of you. This tool set includes the following:

We have looked far and wide for the right size WVO HD pump pickup filter and have finally found it. Our criteria was it had to be all metal, had to be not too small or too big, had to take fitting for 3/4 inch hose, had to have a bottom surface to mount a stand pipe, and had to be easily cleanable. Now comes with three cleaning brushes, a plastic stand pipe that you can glue on if needed and pictorial instructions loaded with tips.
If you are installing a dual tank conversion in your Mercedes you are going to need a way to allow the hoses to enter the trunk somewhere. The best way to do this is to use a hole saw to cut one or two round holes in the spare tire will in bring in the coolant hoses and/or fuel hoses. The hoses can be protected from chaffing with tape and then sealed with Silicone to prevent water and dirt from entering your trunk. Yes, I know these hole saws are not meant for metal - and that is why you need this cheap set. No need to dull your expensive hole saws. Once or twice on metal and the saws are done. But then you wont be using all the sizes in this kit so you will end up with extras for future wood projects around the house.
This shim kit is for those who want a large assortment of every possible combination at their fingertips. It is not easy to find such a complete kit. I personally looked so long to find a good source that I finally gave up and am now importing this high quality master mechanic shim kit directly from Germany. Each shim is extremely accurate in thickness. The shim washers are 11.5 mm in diameter and will work on all Mercedes passenger car diesels from 1958 to 1993.
It comes with a nice moulded plastic case and instructions. This wrench is 18 inches long for good hand torque and it is made in Taiwan. Much better quality than those made in China.
From all my years of working around engines the one thing that absolutely drives me crazy is barbed hose fittings. This even got worse in recents years as many SVO WVO kit makers would send our their components with barbed hose fittings! Just try to remove a rubber fuel hose from a barbed fitting after is has been clamped down, or not even clamped down. Try to remove it after a few months when the hose has been heated and it is even worse!. You end up having to cut the hose off and if you are not careful you can nick the barb and the new hose will leak.

When it comes to cleaning diesel fuel injectors, and yes they do need periodic cleaning, there is nothing like having the right tools to do the job. After cleaning literally hundreds of diesel injectors and nozzles I decided to come up with my own set of special brass tools and share them with our customers.
This tool set will help you disassemble and clean the internal parts without damaging the critical sealing surfaces and injector needle and seat surfaces. Only brass tools should be used on internal parts. The kit contains brass brushes, a brass scraper, a brass seat cleaner, a brass sump chamber cleaning, a brass nozzle hole cleaning, and aluminum vise protectors. I even throw in a stainless steel and nylon brush to help clean the outside surfaces. Patent Pending.
If you are going to change a water pump on a 103 engine you will need this tool or you may never get the pump off. The hours wasted can lead to extreme mental meltdown (I speak from experience :-) ). Access and clearance is so tight that a normal 3/8 inch drive extension and universal will not work. This is a quality set of tools put together for you to work right from the start. The socket is Craftsman and the extensions and universal with adapter are Stanley. Partial instructions included.
This tool comes only with instructions to get on and to remove the water pump bolts. It DOES NOT come with complete instructions on removing and replacing the pump. Those instructions are in the works and will be available soon.
Finally a socket to remove your fuel tank screen that really works. Most correct size sockets tend to be SO BIG that they require 3/4 inch drive ratchets and extensions to use them. Who has those in their tool box?? Even if you did, when trying to get up above the rear axle with a big clunky 3/4 ratchet to remove the screen can be an exercise in total frustration and failure.
