Complete R134a retrofit kit as shown to convert your A/C system. Keep in mind this may not repair all problems with your current A/C system. This kit is designed to go into a good working system. There maybe other parts you will want to purchase such as receiver dryer, etc while doing this conversion. Consult with your local A/C specialist if you are unfamiliar with air conditoning systems.
PLEASE NOTE: We are supplying this inexpensive kit as a convenience to our customers. It will not come with detailed instructions nor do we offer support on how to convert your current system. That will be between you and your local A/C specialist.
Not only does this set include almost 100 pieces but it includes metric sized allen (hex) bits and even an attachment to remove a wing nut! How cool is that? Most kits don't contain metric sizes. There are probably enough screwdriver bits in this kit to last you for a very long. Comes in nice molded red case.
This guide is written specifically for owners of 123 and 126 diesels up to 1985. There are some sections that apply to the 115 and 116 chassis but it is not specific to those models. This manual covers understanding how the vacuum system works, common symptoms of trouble, possible causes, and testing and repairing the problems. Deals mostly with issues from the firewall forward like testing the vacuum pump, repairing shutoff problems, finding leaks, etc.
Good used York AC compressor pump. Came of 1977 300D. Was only used on car a short time until the car was wrecked. These are very expensive new.
This is a brand new Bosch heater motor replacement kit that fits all 123 chassis with automatic climate control from 1981 to 1985. (Provided someone has not put an earlier blower motor in your Benz). In many cases you can repair your motor by replacing the brushes (which we supply in another kit), but when you discover the motor has shorted, the bearings are worn out or the commutator is severely worn - you will need to replace the motor. It is possible to buy a complete new unit with new housing and fan but the list price is $575.00.
New set of upper and lower radiator hoses that fit 1981 to 1985 300SD, 1981 to 1985 300TD, and 1982 to 1985 300D and CD (turbo engines only). If you are replace the radiator hoses don't forget to replace the short hose at the top of the water pump housing.

This is a very important maintenance item for all 617 5 cylinder turbo diesel owners. This set of 4 belts will fit all turbo diesel 116 and 123 models from 1978 to 1985 including 300DT, 300CDT, 300TDT. WARNING - WARNING to 300SD owners - see notes below.. When these belts get loose or worn they can cause all kinds of problems like poor battery charging, engine overheating, jerky power steering, and noises that range from squeaking to rattling.
It can even be worse if someone has installed aftermarket v-belts. Our experience has proven that anything less than Continental Belts is not acceptable nor will you be happy over the long haul. And we always recommend you install all four belts new at the same time with the correct OE German Continental belts.
Here is another diesel item I strongly believe should be replaced as a preventative measure. Water pumps do not last forever and when they go, it is usually when you are on a trip - right? I feel they should be changed every 100,000 miles. It is a realtively inexpensive part and a job suited for the do-it-yourselfer. This item includes full installation instructions with photos. FITS THE FOLLOWING: all 115, 116, 123, and 126 chassis with 4 or 5 cylinder diesel engines up to 1985.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
If you are planning on changing your diesel water pump I recommend using Kent's special tool called the Fan Clutch Mounting Bolt Removal Tool.
SKU: DSL-COMDWP
Fits late 123 240D 1980 to 1983 and late 300D, 300CD and 300TD 1980 to 1985 with possible exceptions. CAUTION WHEN ORDERING: You must check the length of your lower radiator hose and compare it with this picture before ordering. There is a vin split in late 1979 and early 1980 and we have even seen cases where engines have been changed so your vin number will not guarantee a correct fit. This is the SHORT RADIATOR HOSE used on the later models. It measures approximately 15 inches in length in a straight line end to end.
Measure your hose first to compare before you order. If you have a 123 5 cylinder turbo or a 126 300SD there is no need to measure as all those models have the same short lower hose. DO NOT ORDER UNLESS YOUR HOSE MATCHES THIS APPROXIMATE LENGTH.
Fits 115, 116, 123 and 126 chassis diesels from 1968 up to 1985. The factory block heater is probably the most efficient block heater you can install as it heats the water in the engine block directly. It is not particularly easy to install. You have to get underneath the car with a big socket and long breaker bar to get the factory freeze plug out of the block - and more often than not they are really frozen in there. It is worth the effort if you live in real cold country.
For those who do not have the tools or the energy for this one check out our other block heater that installs in the lower radiator hose for turbo diesel models only. This unit is made by Zerostart in Canada and is a 500W / 115V unit.
SKU: DSL-COMFBHFITS THE FOLLOWING: Early 107, 123, early 126, 201, and 124 chassis. (Not applicable to 560SEL and 560SL. They have larger neck radiators and the pipe diameter included with this kit is too small in diameter). Since the MB original radiators are notorious for breaking off their plastic necks (can ruin your day and your engine!) it is best just to replace the old radiator with new. This is one instance where an OE part is not the best. I am really upset at Behr for the poor radiators they built during the 1980s and early 1990s. Many engines have been lost due to their plastic necks breaking off and the engine overheating. I am so mad I just do not sell Behr radiators. If you do not want to buy a whole new radiator then here is a low cost alternative.
Fits only 123 240D models from 1977 to 1983. If your heater valve is leaking or your are not getting the heat you should this valve may be bad. Easy to replace as it is located on the center of your firewall for quick access. SM6

SKU: COM-GFTCRTHaving problems keeping consistent heat on in your Mercedes sedan or coupe? If the heat seems to come and go, or you are not getting any heat at all it probably is caused by a bad heater monovalve. I have found in 80 - 85 percent of these cases a new mono valve fixes the problem. This quality repair kit is made by Bosch and is very easy to install yourself. If this item has not been replaced it is a good idea to do it anyway as a preventative measure. Do not let 15 - 20 year old rubber diaphrams fail before you lose your heat!
FITS THE FOLLOWING: ALL 107, 123 and 126 chassis, both gas and diesel models from 1981-1991.
Includes picture installation instructions and troubleshooting tips. Only works on models and years specified.
SKU: CCP-COMMVK
For 126 chassis see CCP-126RCD
SKU: CCP-123RCDFITS THE FOLLOWING, all 116, 123, 107, 126, and 201 chassis. This is a Quality German aftermarket pump. If you are having heating problems this little unit is often overlooked. When you car is stilling at a stop light there is not enough circulation in the engine coolant to get hot water moving through the heater core. This little electric motor helps to push a consistent water flow through the core. When it fails it kinda creates another problem as well. Not only does it not help push hot water through, but it will actually create a blockage in your heating system.
FITS THE FOLLOWING: 116, 107 and 123 Chassis up to 1980 ONLY with heater servo.
For use to convert 1977 to 1980 automatic climate control servo to a manual system. If your heat has failed again and you do not want to spend another $600 for a climate control servo and amplifier maybe it is time to just convert to a manual system. It will not be as nice as the original automatic system, but at least you will have heat when you need it. This kit comes with a new manual control valve, hose section, splice fitting, four German hose clamps, a 5 foot control cable and complete instructions on how to properly install this kit yourself.
For all 123 chassis cars made from 1977 to 1985 and all 116 chassis sedans built from 1973 to 1980. This repair guide will take you through the process of how to properly remove your heater blower motor and replace the motors two brushes. This is the most common reason for failure. If your blower motor has been intermittent or some days it wont come on until you drive for a while your motor brushes are most likely at the end of their life. This is something you may just want to replace as a preventative measure. 20 year old heater motor brushes are very prone failing at any time. If it has not failed yet it most likely will sometime soon.
Fits early 123 240D and non-turbo 300D, 300CD and 300TD 1977 to 1979 with possibly some early 1980 models. CAUTION WHEN ORDERING: You must check the length of your lower radiator hose and compare it with this picture before ordering. There is a vin split in late 1979 and early 1980 and we have even seen cases where engines have been changed so your vin number will not guarantee a correct fit. This is the LONG RADIATOR HOSE used on the early models. It measures approximately 20 inches in length in a straight line end to end. Measure your hose first to compare before you order.
DO NOT ORDER UNLESS YOUR HOSE MATCHES THIS APPROXIMATE LENGTH.
PLEASE READ WARNING AT END OF DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY BEFORE ORDERING.
Fits 115 116 123 and 126 chassis diesel engines to 1985. This includes the 220D, 240D, 300D and 300D/300SD turbo engines. Most thermostats only last a few years and should be changed for optimal diesel performance. If your engine is not getting hot, the fuel will not burn efficiently - leading to more smoke and poor fuel economy. If you notice your heater not getting as hot as it use to, then this may be a good clue your thermostat is wearing out. A thermostat stuck closed can lead to engine overheating. It is not an expensive part and it is easy to install. If you have any doubts just replace it.
