111/112 Coupe, Body

I like this - permanent - threadlocker because it is super strong but can still be removed with a heavy handed breaker bar. This is a very large bottle for the price and is a must have for Mercedes diesel owners. I use it anytime I am doing major repair work on an engine or transmission. Great for front crank bolt, cam bolt, torque converter bolts, injection pump mounting nuts, front engine accessories, brake caliper bolts, front suspension, etc. Anything that you can just not afford to come loose.

This removable thread locker is probably the best that I have used. It has the best sealing cap and cures rapidly and reliably when confined between metal parts. Use it to lock threaded fasteners, nuts, bolts and screws from loosening. Extremely important in critical engine and suspension parts. This is the removable type (meaning that it can be easily removed with hand tools). Comes in small .20 Fl oz. bottle great for most small jobs.

This permanent thread locker is probably the best that I have used. It has the best sealing cap and dries hard in 20 to 60 minutes. Use it to securely lock threaded fasteners, nuts, bolts and screws from loosening. Extremely important in critical engine and suspension parts. This is the permanent type (meaning that it is possible to remove only when applying heat to 450 degress F - with propane torch) or a very heavy breaker bar. I like to use this one on brake caliper bolts as it is such a critical bolt.

Excellent when retaining bearings and bearing races, freeze plugs, rocker arm and main bearing studs, etc. Can fill gaps up to .007 and assures positive controlled locking.

Here is an inexpensive set of cleaning brushes that really get down in the crevices. The plastic one is good for exterior cleaning around the window and body trim. The brass is good for cleaning engine parts you don't want to scratech. The steel one is excellent if you are doing some rust repair.

If you are going to work on your diesel fuel injectors you are going to need a torque wrench. If you are going to tighten your alloy wheel lug bolts properly you should use a torque wrench. In fact if you do your own work you should have a 1/2 inch clicker torque wrench in your tool box. I know why you don't have one. They tend to be expensive for the limited amount you might use one. Well, now you can get a quality one for a very good price. This is a special offer and we only have a limited number in stock.

It comes with a nice moulded plastic case and instructions. This wrench is 18 inches long for good hand torque and it is made in Taiwan. Much better quality than those made in China.

1971 time manual

This is my favorite set of tweezers for helping to hold small parts in place for assembly. The wide ones are particularly helpful when a second hand is needed to hold a small bolt or screw in place. Comes with seven different tweezers as shown. Good for car work. Not good for pulling hair!

If you plan to do much work on your Mercedes these metric wrenches and sockets are very desireable - if not a necessity. If you have wanted to add to your tool box but not spend a lot of money here is your chance. These are not Snap On quality wrenches but if you only work on cars ocassionally these are more than adequate to get the job done. Long drive pin punches are very handy when working on your Benz. The smaller size in this set is particularly helpful when removing and replacing twin pin style brake pads. All steel. Made in India.

Not only does this set include almost 100 pieces but it includes metric sized allen (hex) bits and even an attachment to remove a wing nut! How cool is that? Most kits don't contain metric sizes. There are probably enough screwdriver bits in this kit to last you for a very long. Comes in nice molded red case.

Great set of metric open end wrenches to get into those real tight places. Metric sizes from 10 to 19 mm. Made in India. They use the standard 3/8 inch drive extension as long as you need to work at right angles in restricted space. Only 10 sets available at this price!

Here is a great set of metric wrenches at a fantastic price that you can afford to cut, grind, heat and bend for all those instances where you need a specical wrench to get into a tight place. These are a black oxide finish so you won't have a problem with the chrome chipping or peeling off after modification. They are made in India and I have found they are a little tougher than the cheap sets coming out of China. Sizes range from 6 mm to 24 mm. The other nice thing about these wrenches is the open end heads are thinner than most other wrenches and will allow you to get onto narrower nuts. And if they are still too thick you can grind them thinner!!

Can be used to log maintenance on all Mercedes, Pre 1960, 190SL, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 108, 109, 107, 116, 123, 126, 201, and 124 chassis. How many times have we (and I am talking about myself here) done an oil change on our vehicle, looked at the odometer and said to ourselves, I will write the mileage down later. I know that I have even tried to memorize the mileage, only to discover a couple months down the road that I am asking myself, Was that 82 or 83 thousand miles?

This is a very hard to find item and the base is not available new anymore. Only fits the low grill 111 coupe grill shells. Hood star is brand new OE. Base is original with very nice chrome. If you have a 111 3.5 you might want to get this for a spare in case someone tries to steal yours and damages it.

Good set of 14 inch factory steel wheels with correct nubs to hold the small round hubcaps. Comes with very good hub caps that don't have any damage. The outer rings are good but not perfect. There are a few small scratches on outer edge but no major gouging. If you don't have the correct hubcaps on your benz or you have an older 112 300SE and would like to upgrade the 14 inch wheels for more tire options here is your chance. They are getting harder and harder to find.

I have looked high and low for a good set of METRIC nut driver bits that I can use in an electric drill or magnetic screw driver - and have finally found them! Yea - what a great tool for working around Mercedes - especially if you have one of the new compact and light weight Lithium-Ion Rechargeable drills. Until recently I have not used rechargeable drills much when working on cars because the ones that had enough torque were always too heavy and bulky. Now we have the high torque and light weight of these new technology drills and I am now a convert. I use these bits in my new compact drill almost every day working on all kinds of Mercedes Benz. What a great combination and I highly recommend it to anyone who works on their own cars.

ON SPECIAL! Very compact and handy three piece detail brush set. These measure 7 inches long and include one plastic bristle, one brass bristle and one stainless bristle brush. The plastic one is ideal for interior and exterior detailing when you don't want to scratch your paint or trim. Extra long metric allen sockets with ball ends for hard to reach work areas in and around in engine and body on your Mercedes. Heavy duty black oxide coated chrome vanadium steel. Made in Taiwan. We picked up a set of these trim tools about two years ago and am constantly amazed at how often I use them - so much so I decided it was time we offered them to our customers. This 5 piece set is made out of plastic so it will not mar or scratch paint, glass, chrome trim, etc. You can use these to remove upholstery clips, body side trim, door panels, soft chrome window trim, rubber seals, interior panels and consoles. Genuine Mercedes part. This is a great exhaust pipe tip and really dresses up the back end of your Benz. If you look closely you will note it has a deflector which deflects the exhaust down and away from your bumper. Not only does this keep the bumper and rear body panel clean, it also keeps the rear part of the tip that you see free of soot and oil. This tip fits rear 6 cylinder and early V/8 gas mufflers with twin tips. The INSIDE diameter of this exhaust tip is just two inches.

The tips fit tightly over the muffler pipe ends. You may need to cut a short piece off the the factory pipe for best fit. I recommend you drill a small hole and secure the new chrome tip with a sheet metal screw to prevent it from slipping off.

Mercedes use a lot of Metric Allen Head bolts especially on their engines. If you are going to work on them yourself one of the first things you will need is a good assortment. Start with a 3/8 inch drive socket set as shown. These are inexpensive but well made sockets from China - most common sizes 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10 mm. They can be cut and modified for special applications.

Good used metal sill plates with original rubber for 111 Coupes and Convertibles. These sill plates are in good original condition. Some of the light rust spots have been treated with POR 15.

Here is a rare find! The original 111/112 coupe & convertible wiper arms and blade holders, original with original chrome, in good condition. These are not all worn out like most you will find and they don't have black blade holders as often the original ones are lost along the way.

Good used passenger, left side, chrome tail light frame. This frame was re-chromed at some time and is still in very good condition. There is no pitting in the chrome and is very bright.

Near mint 111/112 chassis rear intake grill as shown.  This is an exceptional piece.  The chrome is super bright with no pitting.  If you are looking for that extra special used piece, then this is it!

These are right and left door glass upper chrome pieces.  These are in good used condition.  There is no major pitting in the chrome work, but there are scratches.  So please note that this is good used, but could not be classed as show quality.

Used chrome pieces, right and left that fit on the upper inside of the doors. These two pieces have the clips on the back side as shown that hold the upper rubber seal in place. Please note that you will need to determine the application for your particular coupe or convertible.

Excellent used chrome trim pieces that fit forward of the front edge of the door of the front door post.  These are the curved chromed pieces that hold the leather seals in place on the front door posts.  These two pieces were re-chromed at some point and the chrome is still in very good condition with no major pitting on the outside surfaces.
