Here is what Kent says about these wrenches: " I am very picky about the "feel" and "fit" of my combination wrenches. Some are just too smooth and slippery, while others just don't feel good in your hands. Then their are those who have real thick heads that make it hard to get on close quarter nuts and bolts (like Kobalt). A lot of the real cheap wrenches don't fit tight on the heads, thus causing rounding off of the heads (like a lot of them)!!

This is a very handy smaller torque wrench to have in your tool box. It will do fuel injectors but is not quite big enough to torque wheel lug bolts. Range is 5 to 80 foot pounds. To order a 1/2 drive torque wrench CLICK HERE.
Nice set of heavy duty pick tools with rubberized handles. They have hardened steel tips which allow for more prying and twisting with less tendency to bend the tips.
Kent finally found a hand held torch that REALLY works. And you need a torch like this when working on old cars... one that auto starts easily (like on the first click!), one that does not flame out when you hold it close to the surface, one is easy to adjust the flame and temp, and one that really puts out the heat when needed.
Comes with rapid Piezo start and fine flame adjustment control.
I have used a lot of different clamping tools over the years to prevent fluids from leaking out when removing coolant, fuel, or brake fluid hoses. Most work ok. Some are hard to use in tight places. Many do not stop every last drip from coming out of the hose. Imagine my excitement a couple years ago when I saw a clamping tool combined with a vise grip like mechanism. I immediate thought - not that is a tool and a half! Sure enough after using it it has proven to be the best I have ever used. And yes, it will stop every drip.... to is super easy to get into tight places and easily clamp and unclamp. The clamp bars swivel are are big enough to work on radiator hoses and strong enough to work on smaller heater and fuel hoses.
I like tools. I especially like tools that work as advertised and make the job easier. I am constantly on the lookout for new tool releases and/or unique designs. From my own experience, I know that many new tools come from someone's frustration over a tool that just does not work quite right. That is how my diesel valve adjusting wrenches came into being!. Those German Hazett valve wrenches just did not "cut it." I can not believe I have sold over 10,000 pairs of my valve wrenches. So when I see a new tool that fills a need I always smile and wonder just who was behind the concept and what happened to bring it to market!
This set of 5 pick tools have very thin and sharp points. The variety of angles available allows you to get into almost anywhere to remove and o-ring, sealing ring or other small part. Comes in protective plastic case.
Kent is constantly either making and searching out new "stuff" that will make his job of working on Mercedes easier and less frustrating. Here is a complete listing of all his favorites broken down into three categories: Tool, hardware, and chemicals.!
There large size metric hex sockets in 1/2 inch drive. Includes 12mm 14mm and 17mm. Use these for rear end fill and drain plugs, manual transmission fill and drain plugs, etc.
Since 2011 we have released a number of new products and Kent is working on more this year.
1) First is a glow plug carbon reamer for the 1979 and older non turbo diesel engines that use the larger series style glow plugs. As far as we know this will be the first reamer of its kind available for these engines. Carbon reaming in the glow plug pre-chamber is not as critical as in the engines using the tighter fitting pencil glow plugs, BUT our research has shown that these older engines need is as well, especially high mileage engines that have had a lot of time to build up carbon over the years. The pictures below show just how much carbon we were able to pull out with Kent's new reamer from an old 240D head:
This handy inexpensive wire brush tool can be used to clean your battery posts and cable connections as well as corroded light tail light and front turn signal light bulb sockets.
This is the time of year to get with it. From our experience here are the top repair issues that most Mercedes owners have learned to "live with". These problems occur and get worse over time. Many may not even realize how annoying the problem was until it gets fixed - and then WOW! They are exclaiming - Why didn't I do that sooner!!
DONT LIVE WITH THE PROBLEM ANY LONGER. JUST FIX IT!

This tool will greatly ease installation of new emergency brake shoes by helping to install the bottom spring that holds the two shoes together. It will not work to replace the side springs that help hold the shoe in tight to the backing plate. For that operation you need a different tool. CLICK HERE to view. Without these special tools it is a real challenge to replace the emergency brake shoes. It is possible, but you could end up spiting nails! Don't ask me how I know that!! No instructions included with this tool, but easy to use.

This tool is the only way to remove the spark plug connectors without damaging the wire or boot. If you own a gas engined Mercedes this is a MUST HAVE tool!
Works on all models from 1968 to 1995 that just the nylon shift linkage bushings located on the transmission shift arm and the shift control arm. This special tool will allow you to install new bushings in record time. On some 124 and 201 models you would normally have to remove the transmission shift arm due to limited space. But with this tool you can reach up into the transmission tunnel and squeeze the bushing right onto the arm. This is one clever tool. NO INSTRUCTIONS included. To order bushings separately CLICK HERE.
Here is a handy little device that will allow you to easily check the condition of your battery and the output of your alternator. You can install in your engine compartment with the supplied velcro and hook it permanently to your battery posts. Since it is only on when you push the test button it will not drain your battery.
I particularly like to install it in cars that I don't drive all that often. It allows me to monitor the charge of the battery without having to pull out one of my other testers. Great for the wife's car. If she ever has a starting problem you can have her push the button to determine if it is a battery or charging issue...
Here you see it installed in my own 1959 220SE.
